Loftia Kickstarter Campaign Ends

Loftia, an upcoming life/farm sim MMO reached the end of its Kickstarter campaign with a total pledge of $1,271,661. Loftia has managed to reach every single stretch goal. This Kickstarter campaign has been a great achievement for the two developers who quit their day jobs to make the game of their dreams.

Loftia is set to release as early access in late 2025 so we still have a long way to go but I hope this successful Kickstarter campaign will allow them to make a great cozy farm sim MMO, a very niche genre that offers only one game, Palia, so far. 

I am very much looking forward to Loftia. I love the Animal Crossing style graphics and am particularly interested in hydroponic farming which is something as far as I know has never been done in a farming simulator thus far. 

This game will have the chance to learn a lot from Palia. Palia will most likely have been officially released by then. This will allow Loftia developers to follow its journey closely, learn from its mistakes, collect data about our feedback and requested features and apply this knowledge to Loftia. I expect some tough competition between the two when Loftia releases. This competition will also allow the two games to reach the best version of what they can be, which means a much more enjoyable gameplay experience for us players.

Considering that cozy games seem to be taking over the world (and I'm all for it), we might see even more games in this genre in the future.
