Fortnite Teams Up With Lego for a Cozy Life Simulator

Fortnite, in collaboration with Lego, just got a brand new free-to-play game mode that plays as a life simulator within Fortnite. I'm utterly shocked to find myself writing an update let alone caring about something that is related to Fortnite, a game I normally would never ever play since pvp gaming isn't for me. Cozy games are really taking over the world aren't they? And I'm all for it! :D

Lego Fortnite is a new game mode that is outside of Fortnite itself but it requires the installation of Fortnite because you need to run Fortnite to be able to access Lego Fortnite. It is separate from the battle royal Fortnite. There is no pvp involved; however, the game offers coop gameplay. You can team up to 7 of your friends to play together or you can play solo. The trailer shows gameplay mechanics such as gardening, taking care of plants, doing dungeons, building, landscaping, mining, foraging, crafting, fighting enemies and exploring dungeons. I can't wait to discover everything Lego Fortnite can offer.

I didn't get too deep into the gameplay yet but I did create a world for myself to play in and I'm very pleasantly surprised to see that you can customise the world as you see fit.

The game offers two game modes. Survival and sandbox. Sandbox removes material requirements for building and you can build freely without any stress tied to survival games.

In survival mode you can disable features such as hunger and stamina or how your character is affected by temperature changes. You can choose to opt out of combat altogether and remove enemies from your game, although the game warns you that your progress might eventually get blocked if you choose to do this. You can even disable getting eliminated altogether. If you have this enabled you can even choose to select between dropping your inventory upon elimination or keeping it. I'm absolutely chuffed to bits to see such amazing customization options to fit the gameplay exactly to my enjoyment.

So basically you can maximise or minimise the stress level. You can create an insanely challenging gameplay for yourself or you can play the game as casually as you want. Not to mention you can also get a more balanced gameplay. It's completely up to you. Lego Fortnite caters to every type of gamer.

However, sadly I found out that you can't create a character. You can only use skins that you purchased or somehow unlocked. I am sure this isn't news to Fortnite players but it's news to me. I admit I took a couple of hours trying to figure out how to change my character but since I'm so new in Fortnite I have no skins. Therefore I didn't have any options to change anything about the random character the game assigned to me. I am simply stuck with whatever the game gives me. I can't customize hair, gender or literally anything. There are 0 options.

I can't wait to delve deeper into Lego Fortnite. I can even see myself purchasing a skin or two if I find myself having a blast playing it.
